Abby Craden provides an adequate delivery of this book's plot, narrating with a natural ease that keeps the listener engaged. However, her character voices are inconsistent. Her voice for main character Libby Morgan is sometimes fitting for the highly driven attorney who has been laid off and forced to re-examine her life. But at other times, she makes Libby sound like a bratty teenager, even though immaturity doesn't seem to be an intended part of her character. Also, Craden's voice has a tendency to sound unnaturally gravelly, especially with the men's voices, which are grating on the ears. Still, the romantic story and its setting--a quaint Blossom Street knitting shop--overcome the narration flaws, making for a sufficient listening experience. M.M.G.
